Presentation of the Project «Promotion of social infrastructure development»
On June 9, 2015 in the Centre «Our Kids» was presented the project «Promotion of social infrastructure development» which is implemented by the German government through the offices of the German Development Bank KfW and the Ukrainian Social Investments Fund. Among the participants of the event were heads of education departments, chiefs of the preschool educational institutions, representatives of non-governmental organizations, heads of district parent councils and other representatives of education departments.

Life is a battle
Recently our Children’s Film Production Workshop has finished. 4 month our kids together with Oksana Kazmina, a young Ukrainian film director, learned the film production processes: script writing, directing, editing etc. As a result, four short films were produced by Vania (10), Katia (15), Alyona(15). Eventually, three of those four movies were submitted to the short film competition organized by “Children Film Festival”. Vania’s movie “Life is a Battle” was selected as one of the 10 most interesting works, so he became a semifinalist. His short film was shown in 14 cities of Ukraine prior to program screenings.

Opening of Summer Season
The last bell rang, and another school year is over. The first day of summer is traditionally celebrated every year as an International Children's Day – the perfect festival of sheer joy and eternal hope. After all, we all want to see our dreams and aspirations being reflected in our children. We want them to grow up healthy and happy, praise their families and their homeland. Greeting our kids on the occasion of the Children's Day and completion of their studies has become a good tradition for the Centre. On June 5, we laid on a festive barbecue dedicated to this special day. This event has become even more joyful because the children and foster parents also celebrated the beginning of summer vacation.

Welcome Myroslava at “Our Kids”
As of today, Myroslava (16) lives with us at the center “Our Kids”. Because of her foster parents parted ways with her, Dnipro District Youth Service approached us with a request to support Myroslava. At this point, Myroslava receives medical and psychological support by our specialists to live through this difficult situation.

“ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE SUN”
With the performance "On the other side of the sun" we showed our achievements in the work on the second cycle of the "Inclusion" Project. Our children were happy to try themselves in the role of actors, dancers, singers, musicians, photographers and filmmakers!

MARYNA POROSHENKO VISITS THE CENTRE “OUR KIDS”
International Family Day which is celebrated on May 15 is a very warm and home holiday. Founded in 1993, on the initiative of the UN General Assembly, this holiday quickly became popular all around the globe. Significant, that on this very day the Maryna Poroshenko, First Lady of Ukraine, visited the Child Protection Centre “Our Kids”. She examined our premises together with Mykola Kuleba, Commissioner of the President of Ukraine for Children's Rights, Barbara-Maria Monheim, founder of the German-Polish-Ukrainian Society and Mykola Knyazhytskyy, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Culture and Spirituality.
