Accept our sincerest gratitude!
On 16 February, 2015, some staff changes took place at the Centre. The Fashchenko-Ogranovych family had been working at the Centre since 2012. Despite all the hardships, they were very sympathetic to the kids’ situations and problems, treated every child with patience and love, and helped them make better choices in life. While they were working here, seven children from their family group had found their permanent families. Three kids were adopted, two returned to their biological parents, and another two were placed under the custody of their biological grandmother. Nevertheless, the kids remain in close contact with Oksana and Andriy and ask them for help and advice.

Our Kids Discover America
Thanks to the charitable organisation Orphan's Rainbow (USA), the kids from our Centre were invited to spend their winter holidays from 21 December, 2014, to 12 January, 2015, in the state of Texas, USA. The kids stayed with American families in the cities of McAllen, Mission, Edinburg, and Weslaco. During those three weeks, the kids got to celebrate Christmas and New Year, experience Texas culture and traditions, particularly try American, Brazilian and Mexican food, go horseback riding on a real rancho, visit the cities of McAllen and San-Antonio, see the Atlantic Ocean with their own eyes, and visit South Padre Island on the Gulf of Mexico. While staying with American families, the kids had an opportunity to hang out with American kids, see Christmas and New Year celebrations, and visit local schools, churches and hospitals.

«ECOklas» for "Our Kids"
During the last days of winter holidays the Centre for children in Need -“Our Kids” -started the next stage of a social environmental project - aimed to develop eco-ideas and research new ways to protect our environment. On January 16, 2015 at our Centre was presented II Ukrainian contest «EKOklas», initiated by the "Social Centre of Vykhodtsev Gennadiy" and conducted by the trading network "Foxtrot. Our winter holidays
New Year holidays came to the end. For each child it is a magic period. Annually experts of our Centre schedule a special mass-cultural programme for children`s leisure time. This year we attended different events and places: theatres, concerts, operetta... In general, we had active rest: we ice-skated, played snowballs, made a tour of our favourite city. Our kids are grateful to sponsors and partners for support and for interesting organization of leisure. New year holidays had produced a wonderful impression on children. Today inspired and full of enthusiasm we are ready to go back to our studies.

Our Sincerest Gratitude to the All-Ukrainian Charity Child Well-Being Fund
Sadly, the continuing turmoil in Eastern Ukraine has affected not only the adults but also the children. The safety and protection of the latter remains a pressing problem. In partnership with the NGO Save Ukraine, we have managed to inform the public about the possibility to evacuate children from the combat zone and temporarily place them at the "Our Kids" Centre. Following requests from the parents, 17 kids were admitted to the Centre on 12 December, 2014. Currently, the kids are staying at the Centre in family groups. The Centre provides everything needed for safe and comfortable living and development. Thanks to the project implemented by the All-Ukrainian Charity Child Well-Being Fund, we have been able to generate enough charity donations to buy underwear and everyday clothing for the children. We express our sincerest gratitude to the Fund for providing their assistance and support to our children and hope for further co-operation in the future.
