  1. We held the training session 2 ‘Social area analysis: its elements, functions, and conceptual principles’

    On March 24-26, the international seminar will be held in Kyiv entitled ‘Street-Based Youth Work: Clarification of Terms, Introduction to the Concept, and Assessment System.’ The seminar will be hosted by the Structural Subdivision of the German-Polish-Ukrainian Society in Ukraine under the German-Ukrainian Project ‘Mobile Youth Work and Social Environment Analysis Methods.’ The event will be held in partnership with the German charity organisation Aktion Mensch. The target audience will include social service professionals and members of non-governmental organisations for the protection of the rights of children and youth.

  2. A QUALITY WEEKEND FOR "OUR KIDS"

    "Our kids" had a quality time last weekend. On 21 March, 2015, renowned Polish choreographer and art director of the second cycle of the ‘Inclusion’ project Olena Leonenko held a workshop for the kids participating in the project. Through sensory activities, Olena taught the kids how to improve their self-perception and manage emotions.

  3. Love of a Family is Life’s Greatest Happiness

    We all love and cherish our homes and our families. Our homes are the castles where we can find relief from life’s hardships and our families are the people who are always there to understand and support us in an hour of need. We are genuinely happy that today, 17-year-old Anastasia is starting a new life. Her childhood dream of finding a family of her own has finally come true. We wish you all the best in your new family.   4. MEETING WITH CARITAS KYIV

    On 18 March, 2015, a meeting took place at the "Our Kids" Centre with one of our partners in the project entitled ‘Social Area Analysis and Mobile Youth Work,’ the Caritas Kyiv organisation. Caritas Kyiv representatives Zoriana Lukavetska and Iryna Pukhniak accompanied by German assessment expert Dorsi Germann learnt more about the activities of our organisation and were pleasantly impressed with the scope of services provided by the "Our Kids" Centre and the novelty and relevance of the projects implemented by the Structural Subdivision of the German-Polish-Ukrainian Society in Ukraine.

  5. A New Addition to the Avramenko Family Group

    Yesterday evening, a little 9-year-old girl Ania was admitted to the Centre. She is from the Dnipro Disctrict of the city of Kyiv. The girl has already been given new clothing and all the things needed for her comfortable living in the family group. Our staff will have Ania examined to find out what kind of psychological or other help she may need. Soon, Ania will go back to her school. May each new day bring the little girl joy and family warmth.

  6. We care about the environment

    With every passing year, mankind is becoming increasingly more concerned with the environmental protection issues. The Our Kids Centre is making its contribution to the environmental protection through the implementation of the ‘Green Concept.’ This, in its own way, is both a certain mindset and a lifestyle. To promote awareness of natural resources conservation, it is necessary to get the message across about the problems and the importance of preserving our planet. Here at the Centre, we started with the basics by launching an awareness programme for youth.
