Opening of Summer Season

The last bell rang, and another school year is over. The first day of summer is traditionally celebrated every year as an International Children's Day – the perfect festival of sheer joy and eternal hope. After all, we all want to see our dreams and aspirations being reflected in our children. We want them to grow up healthy and happy, praise their families and their homeland.

Greeting our kids on the occasion of the Children's Day and completion of their studies has become a good tradition for the Centre. On June 5, we laid on a festive barbecue dedicated to this special day. This event has become even more joyful because the children and foster parents also celebrated the beginning of summer vacation.

During the festivity, all the participants got the chance to see four short films made by the children been studying in the “Filmmaking Laboratory”, and to watch the video performance of the play “On the Other Side of the Sun” from the “Inclusion” Project. Everyone joined the rehearsal of a sport dance Zumba, took on the tug-of-war challenge, played badminton, roller hockey, soccer and basketball. The children also got involved in solving the quest that was set up in the territory of the Centre. After various physical activities, all participants were enjoying shashlik, soft drinks and eating fresh fruits and vegetables. Kids were happy to get together as unfortunately, such an opportunity does not happen very often due to children’s intensive extracurricular program.

Now, we are sure to say that summer season in the Centre “Our Kids” has been officially opened.
