Gathering Regional Representatives on Issues of Inline Skater Hockey Development

On January 16-17, 2016 the Centre for Children in Need “Our Kids” hosted the meeting of regional representatives on the issue of the development of the new discipline of roller sports in Ukraine under the authority of UFRS – inline skater hockey.

Tremendous work on the preparation of the event was held by the technical committee of UFRS of inline skater hockey under the leadership of Chairman of the committee – Andre Poddubny, Managing Director of the German-Polish-Ukrainian Society in Ukraine. The analysis of inline skater hockey development in the world and its varieties, duration of tournaments and number of teams from European countries taking part in them. It was made translation and comparison of requirements and rules of the conducting competition of IFs: FIRS - inline ice hockey and IISFH - inline skater-hockey with the ball.

At the meeting a strategic decision was made: in Ukraine inline hockey with the ball should be chosen for the primary development. Now, rules are designed, agreed with the representatives of the sport from all over Ukraine, clearly defined categories in which will be made official competitions. So, our young fans of hockey on roller skates have the opportunity to play in their age categories.
