A Visit from Our Partner Organisation Pax Christi

The efforts of any charitable organisation require support from other people of good will. For the last three years, our Centre has been actively co-operating with world renowned organisation Pax Christi. The organisation’s main focus is on promotion of peace and justice and support of human rights. Pax Christi brings together volunteers from all over the world. Particularly, since we have teamed up together, two new volunteers from Germany have been coming to the Centre each year. Usually, they are recent high school graduates. While staying at the Centre, they manage the kids’ after-school time. They help the kids do their homework and study foreign languages, usually English and German. They also arrange various creative workshops according to the kids’ interests. As far as the kids are concerned, this is first and foremost a great opportunity for them to socialise with people of a different culture and learn about other countries of the world.

This year, Pax Christi visited the Centre "Our Kids". We were happy to give the visitors a tour of our Centre, introduce them to our social families, and also give a few tours of the city.

We are infinitely grateful to Pax Christi for their help and co-operation, and to every single volunteer for what they do for the children of the Centre "Our Kids"  on a daily basis.
