Our children touched the mysterious mandala and learned the technique of its plaiting. Mandala translates as center, nature, content. Being plaited by a child-author, the mandala symbolizes personal content, information content and simultaneously the child’s attempt to express the meaning of its content, which is difficult to be drawn into verbal expressions. When created a mandala, a child puts his vision, perception of the world and himself in it, giving shape, volume, colour matching, pattern, size and possible explanations or associative statements.
But also, these children’s creations have an applied meaning – handmade mandala can be as a whole-hearted present or as a decoration, creating cosiness in the room. Isn’t it a true beauty made by the hands of our children?
Thanks to our psychologist Nataliia Mezyna for organizing and conducting such meaningful and interesting workshop!
