A Guide to Georgian Cuisine

Recently our children had an event they will remember for a long time: they were invited not only to get to know and taste traditional Georgian cuisine, but also were given the opportunity to prepare a festive dinner by themselves.

Accompanied by caregivers, the kids visited two Cooking Workshops on preparing khinkali and khachapuri. Together with Chef Paata Kuchava children learned all the intricacies of modeling Caucasian goodies. Classes were very well organized: the children talked about the traditions of Georgia, peculiarities of cooking, always followed that all have enough dough and filling for modeling. Once the Chef cooked an example, the children set to work, and the Chef paid attention to every one and helped to make a real culinary masterpiece. So, everything is ready ... It is left only to cook and bake. The results of the kids’ efforts were quick, and the time they were waiting they spent eating Georgian savoring snacks and communicating. When the anticipated moment came and the kids were brought meals cooked by themselves, they were really convinced that this was the most delicious meal, because it was prepared by themselves.

More photos from the Workshop are available here.
